TO: Our School Families
SUBJECT: Our new school furtal, a revenue generating website.
This is a unique and different type of request for your assistance….No money is requested and none of your valuable time is required to support our school and our students.
Many of our parents have been asking how they can help GJM in these difficult economic times. Now we have an answer; an answer that can make a real difference. Your children may have already told you about the exciting new program in their schools, or they may have forgotten; either way, here we go…..
Do you ever shop online? If you or anyone in your family shops on Amazon, Sears, iTunes, Expedia or over 400 other popular retail merchants, you can ensure that a portion of what you spend will be sent to GJM each time you go shopping online; shopping online at the same stores and at the same prices.
Starting this year, across the state, Texas schools are implementing a great new program called the Texas Furtal Program. The name “Furtal” is a combination of two words; Funding + Portal.
The great news with the Furtal Program is that we are not asking you, or any parent, for your money or your time……..just a slight change in your online shopping habits. Everyone just needs to continue doing what they are already doing; shopping online. But now with the Furtal Program, each time you go to your favorite online store though our school furtal, a portion of any purchase will be sent to GJM The graphic below shows this furtal pathway.
Remember: When shopping through our furtal, it does not cost you one penny more than normal !
Our faculty and staff are already participating in, and raising awareness of, the Furtal Program throughout our community. You and other school families can join us in this new and innovative program simply by visiting our new furtal website at
