We are excited to share a revised plan for students who walk or ride their bicycles home from school. After listening to concerns from families about sidewalk availability, we have adjusted our original plan and acquired two crosswalk personnel to provide a more organized and safe dismissal process.
This new plan is specifically for students who will be walking or biking home into the surrounding neighborhood. It is not an alternate location for parents to pick up car-rider students.
How the New Plan Will Work
At dismissal, students who are walking or biking home will report to the gym. Bicycles will be secured in a designated area at the back of the building near the student release point.
At approximately 3:45 p.m., assigned GJM adults will walk the students together to the back gate on Avenue K. Students will then be released from that location to travel home using one of three designated directions:
Northeast along Avenue K
Southwest along Avenue K
North along 3rd Street
We have added two additional crossing guards to support this dismissal process and help students safely navigate the area, particularly for students whose route takes them past the current construction site.
Important Parking and Pickup Reminder
To keep this dismissal process safe and orderly, parents may NOT park along Avenue K or 4th Street to pick up car-rider students.
These areas must remain clear so that our staff can safely move and release students who are walking or biking home. Car-rider students must use the regular car-rider dismissal procedure.
The attached map provides a visual of:
--The location where walkers and bikers will be released
--The three designated travel directions
--Areas where parking will not be permitted during dismissal
--The car rider pick up line
We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we implement this revised procedure. Our goal is to provide families with a safe, predictable option for students who walk or bike home while keeping all of our dismissal procedures organized and secure.
Thank you for partnering with us to keep our GJM students safe!
Please see adjusted walker/biker release plan that we will be posting shortly in the GJM live feed on our webpage.
Lemonade Day
We are happy to announce that Ingleside ISD and the Cities of Ingleside and Ingleside on the Bay are partnering with our Coastal Bend Lemonade Day Program. This is not an Ingleside ISD program so it is open to all elementary-aged students in the Ingleside community, including students from Ingleside Primary School, GJ Mircovich Elementary, and other local schools. Ingleside ISD is helping by providing a facilitator to help students that are in need. Students may complete the Lemonade Day modules independently from home using a device or they may attend any of the optional facilitated sessions for extra support and guidance from Mrs. Tracey Moya. Facilitated sessions will be held at Ingleside Primary School from 12:30–1:30 p.m., Monday–Thursday, June 8–11 and June 15–18.
Tentative Facilitated Module Schedule:
• June 8–9: Module 1 – Become an Entrepreneur
• June 10–11: Module 2 – Make a Plan
• June 15–16: Module 3 – Work the Plan
• June 17–18: Module 4 – Achieve Your Dreams
Each module is expected to take approximately two days to complete. Students are welcome to attend any sessions that best meet their needs, and participation in the facilitated lessons is completely optional. Mrs. Moya will be available throughout the scheduled module facilitation to provide guidance and support as needed.
Lemonade Day Event
After completing the program, students will have the opportunity to put their entrepreneurial skills into action on Lemonade Day, Saturday, July 11. Participants will create and operate their own lemonade stand or small business (the product does not have to be lemonade) applying the lessons they have learned about goal setting, budgeting, marketing, customer service, and leadership. Students may choose to run a stand at home, partner with a local business, or participate at another approved location. Lemonade Day is designed to be a fun, hands-on experience that allows young entrepreneurs to showcase their creativity, build confidence, and experience what it takes to run a business.

Parents of 5th graders, there will be an informational meeting held at LTMS on January 26th from 5:30-6:30. This meeting will preview ESTEEM, a state mandated curriculum.

Due to campus benchmark testing taking place the week of January 26–30, we will not be able to accommodate lunch visitors during this time. This helps us maintain a quiet, secure testing environment for all students.
Lunch visitors will be welcome again beginning the following week. Thank you for your understanding and continued support of our students.
